About Me:

Born in Richmond, Virginia, I moved to Fort Myers, Florida when I was just three years old. I have always excelled in academics, and my competitive nature has led me to constantly strive to better myself. I first discovered my love of geography and culture in my 7th grade world geography class. I then went on to take AP Human Geography in 11th grade, which really got me interested in learning about different world cultures and human-environment interactions. My passion for the environment came about at a young age, as I was always playing outside and discovering all that Florida's diverse ecosystems had to offer.

Today, my research interests include human-environment interactions, climate science, and geographic information systems (GIS), with a focus in Latin America. I intend to pursue a Master's in GIS in the near future, ideally also at the University of Florida. Upon successful completion of a graduate degree, I hope to work as a GIS analyst within the federal government or at a reputable city planning firm.
